No. Compression runs in your browser. The file is not sent to our servers.
Can I hit an exact size such as 100 KB?
Yes. Choose Exact size or open a compress-to-KB page. We re-encode until the file is at or under the cap. If PNG cannot get there, we ask to save as JPG.
Is location data removed?
Yes, when you leave “Remove location and camera data” on (the default). Re-encoding strips EXIF. Uncheck it only if the original is already under the cap and you want the original bytes.
Is 100 KB suitable for visa or job forms?
Many portals ask for 20–200 KB. This page targets 100 KB or less. Always check the form’s own rules.
